On my easel – Just an old Ford – 14th Oct 2019

This 1933 Ford is my impression of one that was recently offered for sale in California on behalf of the owner from Clinton, Michigan. The actual car is a little lower and longer than this piece. It is, what was commonly known in the 1930’s, a sedan delivery. Based on the 1933 car it had a longer chassis and suicide doors.

This is a small oil on canvas panel measuring 148 mm x 210 mm (6 inches x 8 inches) and forms part of a series including a 1937 Chevrolet Coupe, a 1933 Ford Sedan Delivery, a 1950 Chevrolet deluxe, a 1936 Cord Westchester, a 1947/48 Pontiac Silver Streak and Grandpa’s Chev.
