LIVING WITH AGGRESSIVE MACULAR DEGENERATION
I am blessed. Despite that which is happening to me, I am indeed blessed.
I have the most incredible wife who is walking this journey alongside me, which you will see, is a very good thing.
I have wonderful children and stepchildren.
I also have 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
SO, WHY AM I GOING TO TELL THIS STORY?
Well, in the first place, I have no idea where we will eventually end up.
I have no idea how I will cope with it all. Perhaps I will surprise myself and inspire others. On the other hand, I may fold like a pack of cards and whimper off into the dark.
This account is not being written so that you feel sorry for me. Life is what
it is and I can think of a thousand conditions worse than ARMD
In the second post I’ll explain as best as possible what ARMD IS, how you happen to ger it and what the general prognosis is, once you are saddled with it.
