On My Easel – Grandpa’s Chev, a work of love

I recently read about a young chap who inherited his Grandpa’s 1950’s Chev. He is busy restoring the old car but it’s a race against time. His Gran has a few months to live and he wants to take the old lady for one last drive. Here’s hoping he gets it finished in time.

This is my interpretation of how the car will look when its complete. It’s an oil painting on a canvas panel measuring 148 mm x 210 mm (6 in X 8 in). It forms part of a series which includes a 1933 Ford Sedan Delivery, Just an old Ford, 1950 Chevrolet Deluxe, 1937 Chevrolet Coupe, 1947/48 Pontiac Silver Streak, and 1937 Cord Westchester .
