The original reference pic for this blue 1950 Chevrolet De Luxe comes from Joshua Morey of Bakersville, North Carolina USA. He had just bought the car in 2019 when he published the pic on FaceBook. It is an all original vehicle with 88,000 miles (140,000) km on the clock. Joshua is co-owner of Grumpy’s Conversions […]
This 1933 Ford is my impression of one that was recently offered for sale in California on behalf of the owner from Clinton, Michigan. It is what was commonly known in the 1930’s, a sedan delivery. Based on the 1933 car it had a longer chassis, suicide doors and the rear had a panel van […]
The 1937 Chevrolet Coupe is finally complete. I really enjoyed doing this old rust bucket with it’s patina, rusty wheel rims and broken door handle. Painting old cars is a lot cheaper than restoring them to their former glory or turning them into hot rods or “gassers”. Here are some photos taken during the process. […]

The Cord marque only existed from late 1929 to 1937 but in that short space of time they designed some fabulous vehicles and introduced a host of innovations to motoring. This 1933 Ford is still on active duty in the USA and was recently sold after being with one family from the early 1950’s. This is an oil on canvas panel measuring 148 mm x 210 mm (6 in x 8 in) and forms part of a series including Just an old Ford, 1937 Chevrolet […]
An old 1948 Buick wreck near a windmill in the Free State – South Africa – AP413 This Acrylic painting on a stretched canvas measures 356 x 457 mm or 14 x 18 in. The old wreck of a car is a 1948 Buick and it lies, forlorn and rusting away on a farm somewhere […]
Iconic 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne with ostentatious tail fins – Our Ref AP450 If I was asked to choose only one car out of all the makes and models ever built, then it would be the 1957 Chevrolet Belair. It was an Iconic model. But when it comes to being garish, ostentatious and even over the […]
1929 Chevrolet 5 Window Coupe – Our Ref OP451 This old 1929 Chevrolet was one of the many variants in the Chevy Stable. There were 3 and 5 window coupes, drop-hoods, 4 door sedans and LDVs (or pickups). 1929 was an interesting year. In Chicago the great gangster shootout now know as the Valentine’s Day […]
