Mielie (Corn) Field – Free State – South Africa – OP425
South Africa is generally a water scarce country and over the last few years many areas have suffered drought conditions. In places the drought has broken but in parts of North Western Province, Northern Cape and Free State the drought still persists (March 2019).
Where the drought is broken it’s amazing how quickly the countryside changes as new plantings begin to grow and eventually ripen. Farmers who have experienced severe drought will appreciate this oil painting on a canvas panel measuring 305 x 508 mm or 12 x 20 inches. Other country landscapes that may interest you are Jongensklip Station, Old Blue, and Old Car and Windmill
